• Be careful how you live… making the best use of the time

      Dear BeidgesUS Leaders,

I hope you and your family are doing well.

“But concerning that day and hour no one knows… therefore stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming.” — Matthew 24:36, 42

For over a decade, Thursday has been my day of prayer and fasting. Recently, I’ve also begun fasting from my phone, as these small devices can easily distract us from quality time with God. On this day, I intentionally pray for family, friends, the Church, our city, and the nations.

The return of the Lord is nearer to us now than it was for the apostles. Scripture calls us to be vigilant and to seek God’s kingdom and His righteousness. Especially in times like these—with the war in the Middle East—many Christians and preachers are making bold assumptions about the end times, and some are even setting dates. Yet the Bible clearly reminds us that no one knows the day or the hour.

“Be careful how you live… making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.” — Ephesians 5:15–16

Please pray for me as I take steps of faith to mobilize and encourage churches to pray for our city and to reach our city with the Good News.

As we love the Lord, love others, forgive freely, and keep our eyes on Jesus, we can redeem the time and live with purpose.
