A song will come on in the background in a restaurant. A friend will hear it and reminisce.
For example, a Realtor’s husband had passed. She heard a song they played at their wedding that is rarely played.
She could share grief over frozen coconut milk dessert.
I call it a God’s the DJ moment. A sweet, listening time.

Helping Others Listen For God's Voice
So the main skill in discipling others is creating “safe and holy space” where people open their heart and mind to have a spiritual experience with God.
Our first skill that we encourage is talking to God.
The second skill we encourage is LISTENING FOR GOD’S VOICE

So it sounds like what motivates you to talk to God is that you have learned from experience how vital it is to your everyday life. What comes to my mind when I read what you wrote is the Biblical phrase “walk in the Spirit.”
